For Volume 3, the Spring Issue of andi Magazine, I designed the cover artwork to visually introduce the issue’s theme of rebirth. The concept for the cover draws on imagery associated with transformation, renewal, and cyclical change. Layered illustrations of insects, flora, and symbolic elements are arranged in a dynamic composition that suggests movement and metamorphosis, reflecting the ways individuals and communities continually evolve. The cover establishes the tone for the issue while inviting readers into a narrative centered on growth, transition, and new beginnings.

In developing the design, I focused on creating a vibrant and expressive visual language that captures both the energy of the season and the reflective nature of the theme. The composition combines bold colour contrasts with layered textures and natural forms to evoke a sense of emergence and regeneration. Elements such as butterflies and botanical motifs reference the cycles of life and transformation, while the collage-like structure mirrors the multifaceted nature of personal and creative rebirth.

As the Graphic Designer for this issue’s cover, my goal was to craft an image that functions both as a striking visual statement and as a conceptual introduction to the stories within the magazine. While the full issue is still in development, the cover establishes the aesthetic and thematic direction for Volume 3, reinforcing andi Magazine’s identity as a publication that celebrates creativity, complexity, and the evolving experiences of the people it features.
