Freelance Design and Content Management
May 2025 – Present
Oak & Acorn Psychotherapy required a visual identity and website that communicated calm, trust, and professionalism while remaining approachable for prospective clients seeking mental health support. The project focused on creating a cohesive brand and digital experience that reflects the practice’s values of growth, care, and accessibility. Special consideration was given to tone, visual hierarchy, and content clarity to ensure visitors could quickly understand the services offered and feel supported throughout their browsing experience.
From a technical perspective, the website was designed and built using the Wix website builder, selected intentionally to allow the client to independently manage and update content over time. The site architecture, page layouts, and navigation were structured to be intuitive and scalable, enabling easy edits without compromising design consistency. Care was taken to balance flexibility with control, ensuring the client could update text, images, and service offerings while maintaining a polished, cohesive presentation.
Throughout the project, I applied an iterative, user-centered design process, refining layouts, typography, and spacing to support readability, accessibility, and emotional comfort. The final implementation prioritizes responsive behavior across devices, clear calls to action, and a calm visual rhythm suited to a therapeutic context. The result is a maintainable, user-friendly website and brand system that empowers the client to manage their content confidently while presenting a professional and reassuring online presence.
